An Adventure

We had a terrific adventure running around town to collect deals on my Mom's birthday. Everyone was so warm and friendly! Even the Mayor sang happy birthday to her! Unfortunately, because of the time of year, we couldn't zip line, golf, or visit Victoria Settlement and Linda's Garden Market - so perhaps you should provide a coupon so we could return another day for those great seasonal deals? Thanks Bithday Town Alberta - you truly made our day!

Birthday Town on June 4

I did the town on my birthday, June 4. The most fun I have had on a birthday in a long long time. I felt younger instead of older. Thank you for the great day!

My 60th Birthday

First of all, thank you for BirthdayTown. I had a great time. I went to the Metis Crossing and did the 'ZIP LINE' and it was the most fun, memorial part of my birthday. Then I went to get my free ice cream cone at Linda's market garden and was treated so great. Next came the Red Chimney for a great supper with me sneaking off to the Number 7 Food store for another ice cream cone. (I know I felt like a little piggy - lol) I did pick up my birthday cake at the bakery and it was sooo good. Thank You all for the lovely free gifts -- it made my birthday that much special and I do want to add one thing...no matter how old or young a person is or whether or not it's their birthday, everyone aged 7 and over need to try the ZIP LINE at the Metis Crossing. It's a trip of a lifetime that I will never forget.

February 17th

As someone who grew up in Smoky Lake, I moved away to pursue higher academic pursuits in the big city. Only coming to Smoky for purposeful activities which left me with sparse leisure time. I had heard of this Birthdaytown promotion in Smoky Lake and decided to plan my actual birthday there for something different

Going into the shops that I so frequented in my youth, but never had the time to stop by recently. Number 7 was the first stop, to which I remembered going so often to buy slushes, candy, and renting movies. My second destination was the bakery, to which I clearly remembered my mom buying me pastries, and got my birthday cake which I was most thankful for.

New businesses in town include Explore the Magic, with many interesting items. I bought myself a frivilous plush singing tomatoe which I think is darn cute. As well as Noel's Place, which is known by locals to serve awesome pizza.

With all the variety of places to go to, I was more than thankful that the free round of golf, car wash and the Betsy's Burger shack offerings came as a certificate that I could use at a future date.

The best of all, the one thing I enjoyed the most was the meal at Smoky Lake Inn. I had the fried chicken, which is far superior than anything served in the city. Absolutely delicious. If anyone is reading this, you must go to the Smoky Lake Hotel for dinner and get the fried chicken. KFC does not hold a candle to fresh and properly done fried chicken.

I was even lucky to run across the mayor who happened to be in the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday to me.

Busy with the fast paced life of the city, the trip to Smoky Lake was well worth my time. And experiencing it first hand, I can say it was a very fun day.
